Dr Pepper!

Coke and Pepsi (mostly Coke) own Europe, from what it seems.  That does not sit well with a guy like me that prefer's Dr. Pepper.  It is next to impossible to find such a drink, but I keep looking...

Today, my search paid off.  Sis (Cat and I both call Laura "Sis") informed me of rumors that Dr. Pepper was at the store they sometimes shop at.  I'd been there a few times, but no DP.  I went today, and there were at least 50 cans!  Yes!!  I was so ecstatic, I think I did a little happy dance right there in the aisle.  I'm surprised no one called security, but everyone was probably thinking..."that crazy foreigner".  Oh well, who cares....

I bought a few cans (I didn't want to be a pig) at a little over $1.00 a can.  They could've been $5.00 per can for all I cared...I just wanted some Dr Pepper!  Catalina and I took them to her house, and stuck all 4 of them in the freezer.  Fairly soon, they were cold enough to drink.

Here in Romania, they don't drink things cold enough.  I've been told it's not "healthy" yet most of them here smoke.  I think I'll take my chances with the cold drinks.  Haven't seen a drink served cold that also comes with a cancer warning.....

They were just perfect, just a hint of ice in the drink....heaven.  I had 2, and gave 1 each to Catalina and Laura.  The only soda Sis will drink is Dr Pepper, and both she and Catalina love it.  I got Cat hooked on her trips to the US.

I may have to go buy some more tomorrow.  Hope they still have it, as it seems to sell out fast.  Maybe there are more Americans here...all searching for Dr Pepper.  You'd think they would stock it better if it sells out so fast.

But like I've been told before..."this is Romania" meaning nothing has to make sense...it just is, and also like I said..Coke and Pepsi own the place.  Maybe they don't allow it....
