Vitamin C

Have you ever tasted Vitamin C?  I'm not talking about those chewable Vitamin C tablets that taste like the Flintstone vitamins I had as a kid, but the true pill - non chewable.  Why do they taste so bad??

Catalina, being the nursing student she is, is very concerned about the health and well being of those around her, and that includes me.  She wants me to exercise (ummm....okay), eat right and make sure I get plenty of vitamins.  When Catalina was visiting, she bought a bottle of Vitamin C tablets at Wal-Mart.  I am thinking that maybe she thought they were the chewable kind, but they were most definitely not!

I'm not sure, but I think poor Cat may have eaten one of those tablets before she discovered her mistake.  That must have been horrible.  These pills taste terrible!  On the next trip to Wal-Mart, she bought the chewable kind, which while it doesn't have as much milligrams per pill, they are sooooooooooooooo much better tasting.

When Cat left, she took most of her chewable C with her, and she left me the bottle of nasty tasting pills.  I can't blame her.  Besides, limited room and allowed weight per suitcase didn't allow her to take everything she wanted home.  So why take something like that?

I decided that I would use the Vitamin C left behind for my own purposes.  The weather is getting colder, and its the season for colds and flu and things like that.  Vitamin C can only help in keeping me well.

I take these pills.  Oh...they are so bad, I can barely get them down.  Normally with pills I don't even have to drink water, but with these I need a full glass.  They hit the tongue and yuck, plus just hard to swallow even though they aren't that big.  Why can't they make the pills taste good?  I even take Fish Oil (Omega 3 - good for the circulation) pills that don't taste bad, surely they can make this taste halfway decent.  You would think so at least.

After taking one each night and one each morning, I finally finished the bottle today.  *Whew*  The next bottle I get will be chewable.  I know they have less "stuff" in them, so I will just eat lots!  That should work!
